Veregin Road
This grid road runs between Highway 10 and the village of Veregin for which it is named. Veregin was established in 1904 by the Canadian Northern Railway. It was named after Doukhobor leader Peter “Lordly” Verigin (1859-1924). It was incorporated as a village in 1912. At Veregin, Community Doukhobors established the CCUB administrative headquarters as well as numerous communal businesses, industries and residences. Independent Doukhobors also established a number of private businesses and residences there. Today Veregin is a small rural farming community. [51° 12' 53.60", -102° 5' 59.64"]
