Popoff Tree
The Popoff Tree is located eleven miles south-east of Blaine Lake, Saskatchewan. It is a cross between the plains cottonwood and black poplar. With a circumference of five meters and a span of forty-two meters, it is the largest tree in Saskatchewan. It is over one hundred and sixty years old. It is so named because it sits on Crown land once leased by Samuel J. Popoff (1933-2001). [NW5-44-5-W3]
