Barabonoff Lakes
This cluster of lakes is located near Cree Lake in northern Saskatchewan. They commemorate Warrant Officer Class II Joseph A. Barabonoff (1923-1943) of the Royal Canadian Air Force who died in the Second World War. Of Doukhobor descent, he hailed from Whitebeech, Saskatchewan. The name was officially adopted September 6, 1956. [57° 14' 00" N - 107° 26' 00" W]
