The Doukhobor Gazetteer - Search Details
Canning Road
Named for the Doukhobor cannery and packinghouse that once stood near this road. Built in 1920 by the CCUB to process tomatoes and other vegetables from its communal gardens for internal use and for sale, the cannery was an important industrial asset of the community.
