Verigino
In 1913, Community Doukhobors established a small village on the Slocan River in the Perry Siding district of British Columbia. It was named Verigino (Веригино) after Prokofy V. Verigin (1850-1933), brother of Doukhobor leader Peter “Lordly” Verigin, and his family who lived there. By 1961-1963, the CCUB lands were sold and the village was disbanded. [District Lot 383, Kootenay District]
