Lushechki Lesok
This grove was located near the village of Novo-Spasovka in the Gadabay district of Azerbaijan. It had a small spring around which the water froze even in summer. It was a favorite place of 19th century Doukhobor leader Lukeria (“Lushechka”) Kalmykova to relax and reflect when she visited the area. For this reason, it was known as Lushechki Lesok (Лушечки Лесок), meaning “Lushechka’s grove”. [40° 36' 41" N - 45° 54' 5" E]
