Horkoff Village
In 1909-1910, Community Doukhobors from Saskatchewan established a village on July Creek in the Spencer (Ubezhishche) district of British Columbia. It was known as Horkoff Village or Gor’kovo Selo (Горьково Село) in Russian after the Horkoff family of Doukhobors who lived there. By 1961-1963, the CCUB lands were sold and the village was disbanded. [District Lot 1025, Similkameen Division, Yale District]
